Study focus
  • Energy Systems, energy conversion, power electronics, electrical machines, control of drives, high voltage technology, power system control, laboratory studies in different fields of power engineering, and seminars, M.Sc. project (master thesis) within one of our institutes or within industry.
  • Optional lectures in the fields of electrical engineering, information technology, computer sciences, economics, social sciences, and humanities.
  • Education in German language for foreign students.
  • Nine week industrial internship after the third semester.

Admission requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an institute of higher education, in science engineering or some other discipline related to the major subject of the program of Electrical Power Engineering.
  • A sound knowledge of written and spoken English is required. Applicants must provide proof of their proficiency in English. TU Darmstadt accepts a TOEFL test score of minimum 525 (197 in the computer based test), or a successful UNIcert 2 test.
