  • First year: all instruction in English
  • Second year: lectures in German, tutorials in English

  • Diplom thesis: in either language
  • Intensive course in German as a foreign language before the beginning of the first semester
  • German language training during the first year of the programme

Studies abroadThe third or fourth year is spent at a foreign partner university in Great Britain, Ireland, France or Turkey (recommended for German students)
Admission requirements
  • German University entrance qualification (Abitur) or equivalent higher education entrance qualification
  • Proof of proficiency in English (for foreign students whose native language is not English: e.g. TOEFL with at least 570 points, CB-TOEFL with at least 230 points, IELTS 6.5, UCLES (CAE pass), UNICERT II
