Modules of the International Course: An Overview 2.11.1. A: European Competences and Fundamentals of Intercultural Competence; Credits: 15 ECTS (450 hours workload); Three units: general European competences, competences with regard to social work, intercultural competences 2.11.1. B: European Placement in an Intercultural Context; Credits: 5 ECTS (150 hours workload); Placement in institutions of social work. International students shall do intercultural work assisted by Fulda students as native speakers. 2.11.1.C: Institutions of Social Work: Visits in order to Get to Know “Good Practice”; Credits: 2,5 ECTS (75 hours workload); After a period of preparatory work several institutions of social work will be visited and be questioned with regard to aspects of their “good practice”.
2.11.1.D: Project Work: Facilitating and Supporting Sustainable Development in Social Work; Credits: 2,5 ECTS (75 hours workload); Students shall do small scale research projects in co-operation with institutions of social work. Projects shall cover issues of ethnic minorities, social inequality, unemployment, gender etc., i.e. the most relevant categories of social work. 2.11.1.E: German as a Foreign Language; Credits: 5 Credits (150 hours workload); Supplementary module for students who would like to learn basic German |
